AIBD.SA : Acquisition of a ZBV S879 scanner vehicle

A ZBV-S879 scanner vehicle designed to reinforce security at the Blaise Diagne International Airport in Diass was received on 17 June 2022 by the Director General of AIBD SA, Doudou KA. This device, which consists of a latest generation mobile bus, is capable of scanning any type of vehicle entering restricted areas, whether in rolling or stationary mode.

The ZBV-S879 is equipped with an on-board arsenal to ensure effective, fast and discreet surveillance. It uses patented technology to produce near-photographic images of the contents of a vehicle or container with the ability to highlight any organic material such as drugs or plastic explosives.

The General Manager of AIBD SA, within the framework of the “Air Hub 2025” project validated by the President of the Republic, His Excellency, Macky Sall, intends to make the Senegalese airport platform one of the safest on the continent in order to attract more airlines and boost the attractiveness of our country.
